21 May The Jim Moran Foundation Provides OIC COVID-19 Relief Funds
News Release
Since 2015, The Jim Moran Foundation has supported OIC of South Florida’s (OIC-SFL) workforce development initiatives. The Pathway Out of Poverty program launched an inspiring partnership that has helped over 300+ individuals receive quality training, support services, labor-market informed employment, and, most importantly, overall economic stability.
As a result of our nation’s health crisis, The Jim Moran Foundation has awarded OIC-SFL $30,000 in additional funds to combat the immediate financial hardship many Pathway Out of Poverty participants are facing. These emergency response funds will provide OIC-SFL’s participants (currently in the program working towards economic self-sufficiency) with direct support for medical, food, and/or utility expenses — due to loss of employment or income. “We are grateful to receive these relief funds and pleased to be able to provide each eligible participant with a gift card to support their most basic needs,” says Newton B. Sanon President & CEO of OIC of south Florida.
