About This Program
The CompTIA A+ program provides training in introductory level A+ computer coursework. This course trains students on computer technology and computer troubleshooting in preparation for the CompTIA A+ Certification exams, theory, hands-on practice, and intensive assessments. Upon completion, students prepare for employment in PC maintenance, networking, mobile devices, laptops, operating systems, printers, security, and troubleshooting techniques.

WHAT ARE THE ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS?
The applicant must be eighteen (18) years of age or older. All applicants must show proof of age and citizenship. All applicants must provide proof of address. All applicants must pass the digital literacy pre-test with a score of at least 70 (Digital Literacy Pre-Test) and have strong computer skills. All applicants must also have an H.S. Diploma, GED, or TABE/GAIN 4 exam (Min score of 9). All applicants must be able to read, speak and understand English sufficiently enough to converse with the general public, respond to official inquiries, and to make legible entries on reports and records.

Students enrolled in the CompTIA A+ program undergo rigorous 12-week training that includes introductory-level A+ computer programming coursework. This course trains students on computer technology, and computer troubleshooting in preparation for the CompTIA A+ Certification exams. Students prepared for employment in PC maintenance, networking, mobile devices, laptops, operating systems, printers, security, and troubleshooting techniques. Enhanced learning includes study guides, certification test prep, A+ exam simulations, and focus drills. This array of experiences offer students an ideal way to prepare for success as a professional IT support technician, which further their education and training in the field of Information Technology. Each graduating student receives assistance from the Employment Services team in identifying job opportunities in their field of interest. This course is intended to prepare students for entry-level positions.
