SOAR Opens New Doors of Opportunity for YOU!

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The participants of this program are provided with FREE services that will help justice-involved individuals:

  • Assess Career Pathways and Academic Counseling Requirements
  • Attain Industry-Recognized Certifications
  • Obtain Long-term Employment
  • Receive Community Partner Referrals for Housing, Substance Abuse & Mental Health

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

The participant:

  • At least 18-24 years of age
  • Court/justice-involved or no high school diploma
  • Must reside in Broward County or Miami-Dade
  • Eligible to enroll in community college
  • Legally eligible to work in the US

CAREER VOCATIONAL TRACKS

The participant is provided with FREE vocational training and job placement/paid apprenticeship assistance in the following industries:

  • Food Service Operations
  • Information Technology
  • Construction Operations
  • Warehouse Logistics
  • Transportation & Moving Materials
  • Health and Medical

SUPPORT SERVICE OFFERINGS & INCENTIVES

  • Results-Oriented Case Management
  • Adult Basic Education, including Remedial Education
  • Work Readiness Training and Employment Placement
  • Continuous Professional Development
  • Referrals for Substance Abuse, Mental Health Counseling, Legal Services & Housing
  • Financial rewards for success

This pathway to career advancement allows OIC-SFL to serve an array of unemployed and underemployed individuals within the community – meeting our clients/students at every step of the advancement ladder.
