About This Program

OIC of South Florida’s Women Workforce Empowerment program serves 60 distressed, unemployed or underemployed women (17 years or older) of Broward County in pursuit of career advancement and social and emotional development. The program is designed to meet the needs of career-inspired women who want to further their careers and break the chains of generational poverty.

The Overall Goals of the Women Workforce Empowerment Program Includes:

  • Vocational/Employment Skills Building Training
  • Job Placement Assistance
  • Case Management & Support Services
  • Support Network & Guest Speakers
  • Other Supportive Services

Faq:

WHAT IS REQUIRED TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS PROGRAM?

Participant must be a Broward County resident, 17 years of age or older, and currently unemployed or underemployed with GED or high school diploma (not required to start).

The division ensures our suite of offerings and job placement tactics are current, practical, and customizable.
