Position Summary:

The Program Coordinator will provide key administrative and operational support to the Personal Responsibility Education Program (PREP) and Sexual Risk Avoidance Education (SRAE) programs. This position is integral to the coordination of program activities, data analysis, and fostering partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. The Program Coordinator will work closely with the Program Manager to ensure successful program delivery, monitor programs toward grant objectives, and support a dynamic team of educators. Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills are essential, as well as the ability to adapt to the needs of program participants and staff.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Program Coordination: Lead and organize the delivery of PREP and SRAE programs at multiple sites, including scheduling, surveying, and evaluating program activities.
  • Team Support: Provide guidance and direction to PREP and SRAE educators and team trainers, ensuring that all educators meet program objectives and deliver high-quality family and caregiver workshops.
  • Data Analysis: Review and analyze program data on a monthly basis, collaborating with the program team to implement improvements based on findings.
  • Site Development: Identify and establish new programming sites as needed to meet grant goals, developing marketing, recruitment, and integration strategies.
  • Reporting: Work with the Program Manager and Senior Manager of Compliance to maintain up-to-date program data, dashboards, and monthly reports for division leadership.
  • Parent & Caregiver Engagement: Coordinate educational support meetings for parents of project youth, fostering involvement and facilitating relevant topics such as teen pregnancy prevention and STI education.
  • Staff Development: Assist in the recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and training of new staff and educators, ensuring they are equipped with necessary skills and knowledge.
  • Training & Technical Assistance: Provide ongoing training and support to PREP and SRAE staff, subcontractors, and new team members on curriculum, program updates, and best practices.
  • Event Planning: Assist in organizing annual program events such as Youth Leadership Conferences (YLC), Poetry Slams, and community workshops.
  • Resource Management: Ensure that curriculum materials, supplies, and other program resources are prepared and available for educators in a timely manner.
  • Community Engagement: Represent the organization at community meetings and events, building relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and local agencies.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Adhere to funder requirements and ensure the accurate tracking and reporting of program activities and outcomes

 

Education and Work Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Health, Sociology, Social Work, Human Services, Education, or related field preferred.
    • At least two years of experience working with at-risk youth in areas such as health education, teen pregnancy prevention, abstinence education, professional counseling, or related educational programming.
  • Additional Qualifications:
    • Proven ability to develop and maintain effective professional relationships with team members, schools, community providers, and partners.
    • Knowledge of youth development principles, teen pregnancy prevention, and effective educational strategies.
    • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences both in-person and virtually.
    • Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
    • A valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance are required.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Capacity to provide leadership and support to team members and manage program operations efficiently.
  • Comfort with using data to inform decision-making and program improvements.
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to challenges as they arise, ensuring program objectives are met.
