Open House Registration

    Join us for our upcoming Open House held at our Broward Campus. During the Open House presentation, you will get an overview of our organization, learn more about our Workforce Development Programs and see how you can take the next step to get connected with FREE career training and employment assistance services. In order to complete your program application at Open House, you will need to bring and submit a copy of your ID and social security card.

    OIC OPEN HOUSE FAQ'S

    a. Do I have to have to have a web camera or be on video to take part in Open House?

    • No, you do not need to be visible.

    b. Do I need to have a microphone to participate in Open House?

    • No, but it is suggested that you have some way to speak with us in case you have questions. If not, you can always submit your questions to us via e-mail.

    c. I don’t have a computer, how can I participate in Open House?

    • We are using a platform called Zoom to provide the service, you can use any telephone to call into the meeting. If you have a smartphone, you can even download the application/program.

    d. When will case management meetings take place after the Open House?

    • Case management meetings will be scheduled and conducted once an individual has attended Open House and submitted a Program Intake Application form.

    e. How will we take our classes once we are signed up with OIC?

    • Classes are primarily offered in-person however there are some training courses that offer a hybrid class schedule. Additional information will be given regarding class schedule and format once you are assigned to a case manager.

    f. My Zoom account is not working, can someone from OIC help me?

    ZOOM MEETING INSTRUCTIONS

    In this article, we will discuss how to join an instant meeting through an email invite, an instant messaging invite, from the browser, from the Zoom desktop and mobile application, from a landline or mobile phone, and with a H.323 or SIP device.

    Before joining a Zoom meeting on a computer or mobile device, you can download the Zoom app from our Download Center. Otherwise, you will be prompted to download and install Zoom when you click a join link.

    You can also join a test meeting to familiarize yourself with Zoom.

    Prerequisites

    • Each meeting has a unique 9, 10, or 11-digit number called a meeting ID that will be required to join a Zoom meeting
    • If you are joining via telephone, you will need the teleconferencing number provided in the invite.

     Windows | Mac

    1. Open the Zoom desktop client.
    2. Join a meeting using one of these methods:
      • Click Join a Meeting if you want to join without signing in.
      • Sign in to Zoom then click Join.
    3. Enter the meeting ID number and your display name.
      • If you’re signed in, change your name if you don’t want your default name to appear.
      • If you’re not signed in, enter a display name.
    4. Select if you would like to connect audio and/or video and click Join.
